Henry FOSTER    (1782-1860),   a Tailor by Trade, married Jane ATHERTON  (1784-1855) they were married
            at "All Saints" church in Wigan in 1804.
            In 1807 Henry joined the Royal Regiment of Artillery as a gunner and being assigned to Capt. Alex Campbell's Company
            the 3rd Battallion. During his term of enlistment (1807-1819) this company was involved in numerous battles and engagements....
            In 1809 he was involved in the Walcheron Expedition.
            In 1813 - 14 he was involved in the Peninsula War and the Seige of Tarragona in Eastern Spain.

They had 5 children.....

(2)        Mary Anne FOSTER (1810-1880) born Colchester Barracks, Essex. She had 4 children

              Timothy HEYES(1818-1882) following which they had 2 children Anne(...) and Elizabeth (...)

(4)        Bartholomew FOSTER (1821-...)born Billinge, Lancashire, died prematurely ????.....

(5)        Bartholomew FOSTER (1826-1899) born Billinge. In 1853 married Sarah HESKETH(1831-1908)
              born in Rainford, and had 6 children Mary(1853- , Henry(1855-1894),James(1857-1903),Sarah(1859- ,
              William(1866- and Joseph(1873-1939),
